ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Houghton men's tennis came up short in a battle vs. Rochester Institute of Technology, falling 9-0 on the road Wednesday afternoon.
The Highlanders were never able to get in the groove against the Tigers, losing all three doubles matches, and then struggling to get points in singles action. Houghton's best opportunity came at the first singles position with
Micah Schilke pushing his opponent in a 7-5 first set loss, but the points were hard to come by the rest of the way in any of the singles matchups.
Houghton will look to bounce back with two matches on the road this weekend. They travel to take on Westminster in New Wilmington, Pa., on Friday at 5 p.m., then move on to challenge Grove City on Saturday at 3 p.m.
