HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Houghton women's tennis dropped a 7-2 decision to visiting Penn State Behrend at the Kerr-Pegula Field House on Saturday.
The match marked the final competition of the season for the team. Despite the loss, there were highlights on the day. All three doubles teams fought hard in what proved to be three competitive match ups. Zoe Zachary and
Kelsi Clapper highlighted the day with two definitive wins at 4
th and 6
th singles respectively.Â
Arija Grant and
MyaKay Bartman also provided strong performances in their matches.
Coach Webb said…. "although my tenure as interim coach for this group has been short, I have been thoroughly impressed with the hard work and spirit in this team. The leadership is excellent, and I am not sure there is a tighter group on campus. They are simply a phenomenal group of young women."
