HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Houghton cross country student-athletes Noelle Linenfelser and Amos Bixler have earned Empire 8 All-Conference honors following the 2024 fall season.

Linenfelser was a first team honoree, while Bixler earned third team honors.

Linenfelser, the 2023 E8 champion, finished sixth at this year's championship to earn her third E8 honor (first team in 2023, second team in 2022). She went on to a 14th place finish at the regional meet and qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championship.

Bixler was a first team selection in 2023 and second team in 2022. He earned third team honors this season after a 20th place finish at the E8 championship.

Also being honored by the E8 were Aria Larson and Ben Allen, who were Houghton's representatives on the E8 sportswomen and sportsmen of the year teams.  The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen and sportswomen.
