HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Houghton volleyball student-athletes
Lilly Bentley and
Emma Cole have earned NCCAA All-Midwest Region honors following the 2024 fall season.
Bentley was a First Team selection while Cole was named to the Second Team.
Bentley had a standout debut campaign for the Highlanders, earning Empire 8 First Team All-Conference honors and E8 Rookie of the Week on three occasions. She led Houghton with 243 kills and a .307 hitting percentage (fourth in the E8). She had at least 10 kills in 13 matches, including a season high 15 kills three times. She hit better than .400 six times during the year.
Cole finished with 187 kills and a .227 hitting percentage. She led the team with 67 total blocks (21 solo) and ranked sixth in the E8 in blocks per set (.70). She had season highs of 17 kills vs. Lycoming and six blocks vs. Alfred. She reached double figures in kills in six matches.
