Women's Soccer Snaps Two Game Skid with 2-1 Win over Keuka

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. -- Houghton women's soccer got back in the win column with an important 2-1 E8 victory over Keuka on the road Wednesday afternoon.

The win keeps the Highlanders in the hunt for E8 postseason play.

DETAILS
>> It took just under 10 minutes for the Highlanders to find the back of the net as Taylor Curyto scored her third goal of the season off an assist from Aivery Schuck.
>> Clinging to that one goal lead at the half, Houghton wasted little time as the second half started. Morgan Applegate took a pass from Karryne Mims just 11 seconds into the second stanza to put the visitors up 2-0. It was Applegate's second goal of the campaign.
>> The Highlanders would keep that two-goal lead for the majority of the final 45 minutes, finally conceding a goal from the Wolves in the 90th minute.

NOTABLE STATS
>> The final shots statistics were even at 16 apiece. Houghton had a 9-8 edge in shots on goal.
>> Preslee Miller made six saves in net.
