Highlanders' Win Streak Comes to End with Loss to Brockport

HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Houghton women's soccer saw its three-game win streak snapped Wednesday against a high-powered Brockport squad, losing 3-0 at home on Burke Field.

Brockport has started the season 8-0-1 and has yet to concede a goal this season.

DETAILS
>> It was evident early on that the visiting Golden Eagles brought speed, skill and an aggressive style to the field, but the Highlanders were equal to the task for the majority of the game. Despite a breakdown that resulted in the first goal in the sixth minute, Houghton played strong to limit the offensive chances for the visitors.
>> Brockport's second goal came off a 30-yard free kick that just slipped over the extended hands of Houghton keeper Preslee Miller.
>> The final goal was scored in the 58th minute
