HOUGHTON, NY – Three games into the 2023 season and the Houghton Highlanders offense continues to click on all cylinders, defeating the visiting Lycoming Warriors, 4-1, in the Burke Field home opener.
Houghton scored in the 12
th minute then added two more goals early in the second half to take a 3-0 lead before the Warriors got on the board late in the third quarter. The Highlanders tacked on an insurance goal with less than a minute to play to seal the victory.
Bekah Davie scored three times and
Deborah Cross added another to round out the Houghton scoring.
Jace Hunzinger added two assists.
