Strong, Well-Balanced Attack Leads Highlanders Past Hilbert for First Win of Season

HAMBURG, NY – The Houghton Highlanders came out swinging Tuesday night, racking up 41 kills in a three-set victory over the Hilbert Hawks, the Highlanders first win of the season.
 
While errors had plagued Houghton in their first three games, the team found a rhythm and limited the mistakes, committing only 13 attack errors in 100 attempts.

The Highlanders posted a season-high .380 attack percentage in the first set, holding the Hawks to only 15 points.  Hilbert kept things close in the second, before Houghton pulled away late, 25-22, before the Highlanders finished things off with another strong set in the third, 25-18.
