HOUGHTON, NY – The Houghton Highlanders scored early and often, defeating the visiting SUNY Morrisville Mustangs, 6-1, on Wednesday evening to remain undefeated at 5-0.
Bekah Davie put away her team-leading seventh goal of the season just over a minute into the game, and
Deborah Cross would add two more before the end of the first quarter, giving Houghton a 3-0 advantage.
Davie and Cross would both add one more goal apiece, and
Adria Hartzler would score the final goal with less than a minute to play to round out the Houghton scoring.
Jace Hunzinger, meanwhile, continued her torrid assist rate, setting up her teammates' on four of the Highlanders six goals, giving her 10 assists so far this season.
