The Houghton University Men's Tennis Team continued their dominate play in the Empire 8 with an 8-1 victory over St. John Fisher Saturday afternoon. The win puts the Highlanders' at 4-0 in E8 play and 7-6 overall on the year. Despite the lopsided scoreline, the Highlander's would have to fight hard against a tricky opponent.
"Fisher played some tough and annoying tennis this afternoon," Head Coach
Zach Shilvock said after the match. "It was never an easy out, but the guys did well to limit unforced errors and stay patient against a pesky Fisher roster. We will look to keep improving and stay in the win column as we enter this last month of our regular season!"Â
The Highlander's will get some extended time off, and will return to the court next Saturday against Conference newcomer, Medaille on the road at 5:30pm at South Towns Tennis CLub in Orchard Park, NY.Â
