The Houghton University Men's Tennis Team opened up conference play Friday afternoon with a 9-0 sweep of the Utica Pioneers. The win was convincing with the Highlander's only dropping 5 games throughout the entirety of the competition. 

"I am very pleased with how the men were able to compete at the standard we expect even against a lesser opponent today," Coach Shilvock said after the match. "The footwork, energy, and ball striking quality was high, and that is exactly what we expect day in and day out. Upwards and Onwards!" 

The Highlander's, 4-6 overall and 1-0 in conference, will get right back into action tomorrow at 1pm when they take on conference rival Nazareth at Mendon Racquet Club in Mendon, NY.
