HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Houghton women's soccer was forced to play catchup after surrendering the opening goal to Alfred just two minutes into the contest, but the hosts could not find the equalizer and ultimately dropped a 2-0 decision to the visiting Saxons on Wednesday at Burke Field.

Alliah Fluent and grazed the crossbar as it bounced into the goal in the third minute.
