Highlanders Stun Wolves on Smith's Dramatic Overtime Goal

HOUGHTON, NY – Just under six minutes into the overtime period, with the score tied, 2-2, Houghton's Jace Hunzinger collected a rebounded shot from Elzandie Du Plessis off the Keuka goalie's shin pads at the top of the circle, faked a shot and sent firm pass to Cedar Smith at the near post, who slammed the game-winning goal into the back of the cage.

The Highlanders jumped out to a 2-0 lead off a pair of Bekah Davie goals, but the Wolves battled back, scoring in the 29th and 36th minutes to tie the game.

For the next 30 minutes the game would remain tied, until Smith's goal, her first of the year, buoyed Houghton to their fourth consecutive victory.
