HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Late first half goals gave the Brockport Golden Eagles a two-goal lead and the visitors held on for a 2-1 over Houghton in women's soccer action on Burke Field on Saturday afternoon.

>> The teams played even early, but Brockport was able to register a few more scoring chances. Though the Highlanders held firm throughout most of the first half, the visitors broke through with back to back goals in the 40th and 41st minutes to take a 2-0 lead into the locker room.
>> The Highlanders pulled within one in the 57th minute. Sarah Potocki pushed the ball to the attacking endline and sent in a nice cross to Mikayla Simons who redirected the ball past the Eagles keeper from just off the line.
