The Houghton College Men's Tennis Team bested Alfred University 9-0 on a chilly Tuesday afternoon to move to 7-0 in Empire 8 Conference play. The win also brings the Highlanders' to 10-10 on the year to date. In doubles play, the Highlanders' would continue their strong early performances with a sweep starting with 
Jaimie Staerkle and 
Isaac Little and 
Levi Webb and 
Nolan Zach each winning 8-1 at the first and second flights respectively. Following right behind them, 
Graham Cook and 
Adam Brown would snag third doubles 8-3. In singles play, the Highlanders' would solidify their sweep with 
Micah Schilke (6-0, 6-3), 
Levi Webb (6-1, 6-3), 
Jaimie Staerkle (6-0, 6-0), 
Adam Brown (6-0, 6-1), 
Isaac Little (6-1, 6-1), and 
Graham Cook (6-1, 6-0) all coming out victorious in that singles play order.

Isaac Little said after the match. "I want to shout out

Graham Cook for two stellar performances on both sides of the court today. It was nice to get a convincing win to start off the week, but we are eager to bring even better quality at our match against Nazareth on Saturday." 
The Highlanders' will look to close out their conference season undefeated against rival Nazareth College, Saturday at 1pm in Rochester, NY.
