HOUGHTON, N.Y. --Â Houghton women's soccer saw its 2022 season come to a close after a late 3-2 loss to Sage on Saturday at Burke Field.
A win in their final game and a loss from either Utica or Alfred would have put the Highlanders into the E8 tournament. With the Saxons falling at Nazareth, it was up to the Highlanders to close the deal. Unfortunately, two Sage goals in the final two minutes turned a 2-1 lead into a 3-2 deficit.
