SCHENECTADY, NY – The Houghton Highlanders reached double-digit wins on Saturday afternoon with an exclamation point, defeating the Russell Sage Gators, 11-0.
Houghton's leading goal-scorer,
Bekah Davie, found the back of the cage just 22 seconds into the game, while the Highlanders went on to score four more times in the first quarter alone. They would score three more times in the second quarter and take an 8-0 lead into the half.
Davie would go on to score two more goals, her second hat trick in the past three games, padding her team lead to 15 goals on the season.
Madison Tadusz made three saves in the cage for the Highlanders, picking up her fifth shutout of the season, a new NCAA-era Houghton record.
