HOUGHTON, NY— For the second time in five days, the Alfred University Saxons defeated the Houghton College Highlanders, this time by a margin of 73-34.
 
Cole Eels (18 points), Brewster Marshall (18 points) and Elliot Bowen (16 points) combined to score 52 of the Saxons 73 points, knocking down 63 percent of their shots.
 
In the opening minutes the two teams played a closely contested game, but the Saxons reeled off a 13-0 run midway through the first half, building a double-digit lead, and the Highlanders never recovered.

>> Josh Jordan posted eight points, seven rebounds and three steals for the Highlanders, while Jordan Holmes added eight points and two steals. 
 
>> Bowen pulled in a double-double, added 11 rebounds to his 16 points, and Marshall added eight rebounds, four assists, four steals and four blocked shots.

The Highlanders will host St. John Fisher College on Tuesday, February 1 at 7:30 p.m.  Houghton lost to the Cardinals earlier this season, 52-83.
