HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Four members of the Houghton men's soccer program have been named to Empire 8 All-Conference teams following the 2021 fall season.

Julius Klohr, Andy Loomis and Brice Bogna were recognized as All-E8 First Team honorees, while Oscar Palacios earned All-E8 Second Team honors.

Klohr finished the campaign with five goals and five assists despite missing five games due to injury. He led the team with two game winning goals. He tallied one goal and two assists vs. Keuka and scored two goals vs. Hartwick. He was an Honorable Mention selection in 2019 and earned First Team honors this past spring.

Loomis, a Second Team selection in the spring, led the team with seven goals and nine assists. He also was the team-leader with 51 shots, including 29 shots on goal. He had one game-winning goal on the season, and scored a season-high two goals and an assist vs. Keuka.

Bogna returns to the First Team after similar honors during his freshman campaign in 2018. He was second on the team with five goals scored from his defender position. He had two game-winning goals and scored twice against both Brockport and Pitt-Brad.

Palacios was a stalwart in the back for the Highlanders and was equally dangerous when joining the attack. He finished the season with one goal and one assist. The sophomore was also a Second Team honoree after the spring season.

In addition, Levi Webb was Houghton's selection to the Empire 8 Men's Soccer Sportsman of the Year Team. One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen.

The conference also honored Caleb Bailey, CJ Stout and Palacios with selection to the 2021 Empire 8 All-Tournament Team.
