ROCHESTER, NY – After scoring the game's opening goal, the Houghton Highlanders eventually conceded three unanswered goals, falling to the Nazareth Golden Flyers on Saturday afternoon, 3-1.
Just inside the 20 minute mark,
Cedar Smith took a pass from
Sarah Retz and deposited her second goal of the season into the back of the cage to give the Highlanders the lead.
But with just over five minutes remaining in the half, Nazareth's Bailey Selman scored the first of her three goals to tie the score.
Selman would eventually give the Golden Flyers the lead in the 47
th minute, and tack on an insurance goal with less than three minutes to go in the game.
