Houghton Women Fall to Sage

Coleman Earns 100th Victory

ALBANY, NY— The Sage Gators gave head coach Allison Coleman her 100th career victory, as they defeated the Houghton Highlanders, 64-47.

Coleman became the first coach in Sage women's basketball history (1972-present) to reach the 100 win plateau.

After a close first quarter, in which a late layup by Megan Flynn gave the Gators a three point lead, Sage controlled the second ten minutes, shooting over 53 percent from the floor to open up a 12-point halftime lead.

Houghton fought back to within nine in the third on a Caitlyn Cybart layup, but the Gators responded with an 8-2 run to close the quarter up by 15 points.

In the final quarter the Gators continued to separate, outscoring the Highlander by a basket.
