CLINTON, NY – After returning from Florida the Highlanders faced two quick losses to Hamilton on Thursday. The Highlanders would be run ruled both games 0-8 in 5 innings and 2-10 in 6 innings.
Game 1
Hamilton 8, Houghton 0
Lauren Couturier got on base early for the Highlanders with a walk. She then was able to steal second and advance to third on a wild pitch. While teammate
Taylor Sile also was able to walk and advance to second, Sile and Couturier would then be left on base after back to back strike outs. Hamilton jumped to a great start in the first inning with 3 runs and 3 hits that would set the pace for the rest of the game. A homerun by Hamilton's Helen Lin put the Continentals up by 8.
Haley Unverdorben led the Highlanders in the fifth inning with a single to right center. But, it was not enough for Houghton to rally back.

Hamilton 10, Houghton 2
The Highlanders showed a spark in the second game at the plate with 6 hits. Leading the Highlanders in hitting was
Hannah Haskell with 2. A strong third inning for Houghton would produce their 2 runs of the game.
Haley Unverdorben singled to left center to get the inning started,
Caitlyn Cybart singled to right center giving Houghton their first RBI of the game, scoring
Taylor Sile. Hamilton would continue their offensive threat coming up with 14 hits. Helen Lin would remain strong this game leading the way with 4 hits, 3 RBI's and 1 Home run.
