Late Run by Juniata Sinks Highlander Men

HUNTINGDON, PA— A late run by the Juniata Eagles sank the Houghton Highlanders on Friday night, 71-65, in the opening round of the Doc Green Tournament.

After playing to a deadlock, 36-36, in the first half, the two teams traded leads early in the second until Houghton built a small cushion.  Back-to-back three-pointers by Isander Ramos-Net and Isaac Dow put the Highlanders up by four with 13 minutes to play.

Juniata stayed within striking distance, but with less than six minutes on the clock Ramos-Net hit a layup that put Houghton up by five.

But over the ensuing four minutes, the Eagles reeled off a 13-2 run, building their lead to six points and Houghton could not recover.
