Bittinger's Triple-Double Not Enough as Highlanders Fall to Panthers in Four

BRADFORD, PA—Ally Bittinger posted her first career triple-double, but the Houghton Highlanders fell in four closely-contested sets to the Pitt-Bradford Panthers on Tuesday night.

Houghton rebounded from a close, first-set loss to even the match at one, before falling by two points in a fierce and decisive third set.  The Panthers would keep the momentum rolling into the final set to take home the victory.

Bittinger collected 14 kills—one shy of her career-high—17 assists and 10 digs on the night, while Amber Edwards racked up 15 kills—also one shy of her career high.

COACH'S CORNER
"This was another good game.  We played really well until the last game.  Pitt-Bradford is a very good team with an amazing libero.

"Ally [Bittinger] was outstanding tonight.  Posting a triple-double is pretty hard to do, especially in four sets." –Head Coach Nancy Cole
