HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- A second-half rally by Hartwick gave Houghton women's lacrosse its second Empire 8 loss, 13-6, dropping the Highlanders to 4-5 overall and 2-2 in E8 play.
The Hawks were able to find the net first, but the Highlanders were not too far behind with an unassisted goal scored by
Cori Beck at the 27:14-minute mark. Both teams saw success as the score went back and forth until Hartwick scored the last three goals ending the first half, 7-4.
Hartwick made adjustments and came out hot in the second half going on a 3-0 run. Houghton interrupted the Hawks' run as
Meagan Barry would net the Highlanders last two goals of the game.
