Kaylee Jentsch (4-2) took one on the chin as she lost the pitching battle to Lindsay Thayer (8-3) of the Cardinal's as she collected 12 strikeouts against the Highlanders.

Game 2: In the nightcap, the Highlanders continued to struggle against the Cardinal's defense. The fourth-inning is when the Cardinals saw success and jumped on the board due to a couple of Houghton errors.
