ROCHESTER, NY – Despite 29 points from senior
Dylan Lambert, the Houghton Highlanders fell to the Cabrini Cavaliers on the second day of the Chuck Resler Tournament at the University of Rochester, 73-90.
Houghton trimmed a 10-point halftime deficit to four points on a Lambert three with 12:39 remaining in the game, then cut the lead to only three points moments later when Lambert hit another from beyond the arch.
The Highlanders would remain within striking distance until the waning minutes, but after a three-pointer by
Scottie Berghaus and a layup by Lambert pulled Houghton to within five points with 5:00 to play, the Cavaliers would finish the game on a 13-1 run to seal the victory.
