HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Houghton Highlanders second half rally fell short in a 62-52 loss to the Stevens Ducks in Friday night women's hoops.
Highlanders out played Ducks in three quarters but it was the Duck's second quarter 20-1 run that decided the result of Friday night's game in Nielsen Center. The Highlanders rallied in the final minutes to cut Stevens' lead to six points but Houghton couldn't finish in the end.
Houghton's junior guard,
Emily Swanson, scored 16 points and pulled down 10 boards earning
Swanson her first double-double of her career while Stevens' Megan Brown and Christina Li collected a combined total of 29 points.
