ONEONTA, NY – In what turned out to be a defensive struggle,
Caitlin Jennings nailed home the only goal of the game in the 22
nd minute, lifting the Houghton Highlanders past the Hartwick Hawks in Empire 8 conference action on Saturday.
Jennings' team-leading seventh goal of the season came when
Tanya Hatton sent a through-pass in front of the keeper and Jennings nailed it home.
Houghton made several key defensive stands in the second half to preserve the Highlanders' first Empire 8 victory of the season.
