Swarthmore, P.A. – Swarthmore proved to be too much for Houghton as they received their second loss on the season.
Despite the strong start throughout the first quarter, the Highlanders were not able to keep their 15-11 lead going into the second quarter. At the 6:48 minute mark, Swarthmore took the lead on a 16-0 run, which the Highlanders never recovered from.
Swarthmore led by as many as 11 points by the end of the second quarter, but the Highlanders battled back, coming within one point at the 21 second mark of the fourth quarter. With time being on Swarthmore's side and a couple of clutch free-throws, the Highlanders were defeated, 55-58.
The Highlanders were led by
Leslie Moose, who collected nine points and six rebounds, while
Laurie Call pulled down five rebounds and dished out five assists. Swarthmore's Lindsay O'Sullivan, just missed a double-double ending the game with 14 points and seven rebounds.
