ALBANY, NY – The Houghton women's soccer team took down the Sage Gators on the road, 1-0.  Kate Taggart scored the only goal of the game on a Mikayla Gaffney assist at the 33 minute mark to give Houghton the lead and the win.  Sadie Dunnett had 12 saves in the goal for the Highlanders.  Houghton improves to 4-7-1 on the season with the win.

"We had a nice 1st Half combination goal by Kate Taggart set up by Mikayla Gaffney. Then we held on defensively in the second half to secure the win. Bethany Kuiken returned to the line up after missing three weeks due to an injury and she played well."
