Second Set Proves Crucial in Highlanders Loss to Blue Devils

HOUGHTON, NY— After overcoming a 12-2 deficit to win the first game the Houghton Highlanders led the Fredonia Blue Devils 23-20 in game two and looked poised to roll through the match.

The Blue Devils, however, called timeout, regrouped, and overcame the three-point margin to win the game.

Fredonia would jump out to a 14-5 lead in the third game, and while Houghton would pick up their play, the Blue Devils would eventually take the next two sets.
