ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The St. John Fisher Cardinals claimed a 22-2 win over Houghton men's lacrosse Tuesday.

The hosts jumped out to a six goal lead after the first quarter and led 13-1 at the half. Paul Chapman (Kemptville, ON, Canada, North Grenville District) scored Houghton's lone first half goal.

The Cardinals added five more goals in the third quarter. Chapman tallied his second of the day to lead off the fourth quarter, before the hosts finished the game with four-straight goals.

St. John Fisher outshot Houghton 48-10 and had a 32-15 edge in groundballs.

Christopher Bucciarelli (Horseheads, NY, Horseheads) made eight saves in 45 minutes of action. Andrew Bub (Westerlo, NY, Berne-Knox-Westerlo) played the fourth and allowed four goals.

Houghton (2-7; 0-3 E8) is back in action when they travel to take on Stevens Tech on Saturday, April 9.
