PAXTON, Mass. -- Paul Chapman (Kemptville, ON, Canada, North Grenville District) scored four times and freshman Austin Andryshak (Horseheads, NY, Horseheads) added three goals to lead Houghton men's lacrosse to a 10-2 win over Anna Maria College on Thursday.

Chapman tallied three scores and Andryshak added another as the Highlanders jumped out to a 4-0 first quarter leader. The teams traded goals in the second quarter with both Cole Chapman (Kemptville, ON, Canada, North Grenville District) and Andryshak scoring, as the Highlanders took a 6-2 lead into the locker room.

Paul Chapman and Cole Chapman each scored in the first five minutes of the third quarter before Andryshak tallied his third of the day with the Highlanders playing a man down.

Jacob Samuelson (Lander, PA, Homeschool) finished the scoring midway through the fourth quarter.

Andryshak and Paul Chapman each tallied an assist. Chapman led the team with seven ground balls. Nathan Moore (Kane, PA, Kane) won 10 of 15 faceoffs.

Houghton outshot the Cats, 36-20, and had a 32-23 advantage on ground balls.

Christopher Bucciarelli (Horseheads, NY, Horseheads) made six stops in net.

Houghton (2-4) is back in action when they open E8 play vs. Elmira on Wednesday, March 30 at 7 p.m. on Burke Field.
