BEREA, Ohio -- Houghton women's lacrosse dropped a 15-5 decision at Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets took a 9-0 lead into the half and increased the lead to 10-0 just 1:24 into the second half.

The Highlanders were able to respond with back to back goals from Chandler Jones and Meghan Oswald, before the hosts scored three more times.

Houghton scored three-straight, from Oswald, Jennifer Zacchigna and Torri Sperl to close within 13-5, but the Yellowjackets finished the scoring with two goals in the final four minutes.

Shots were 26-19 in favor of Baldwin Wallace.

Jones finished with one goal and three assists. Oswald had two goals. Zacchigna had a goal and an assist.

Kourtnie Franklin made six saves in net.

Houghton (2-4) begins Empire 8 play at Elmira on Tuesday, March 29 at 4 p.m.
