Highlander Comeback Falls Short in Ithaca

ITHACA, N.Y. – Marc Chasin put up 35 points for the Ithaca Bombers as they came from behind in the second half then held off a Houghton Highlanders comeback for the win, 93-88.

After playing to an even 37-37 draw at the halftime break, the Highlanders opened up an eight point lead five minutes into the second half.

The Bombers quickly recouped as Chacin scored three of the team's next four baskets, and the Bombers reeled off a 16-2 run to take the lead.

Houghton again fought back, and an Antonio Deadmon three brought the Highlanders to within two, 64-66, with less than eight minutes to play.

The Highlanders kept things close through the remaining minutes, but Ithaca nailed 10 of 10 from the free throw line down the stretch to seal the victory.
