SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College Thoroughbreds hit 11 second half threes, shooting 65 percent from beyond the arch, to erase a double-digit Houghton Highlander lead en route to a 20 point victory.
Houghton led by 16 points with less than four minutes to play in the first half before the Thoroughbreds rambled off a 16-2 run to close out the half.
While the Highlanders clung to their lead for over six minutes into the second half, Skidmore eventually pulled out the long-range guns, nailing three pointers in six straight possessions as part of an 18-3 run, which would give them the lead for good.
