FREDONIA, N.Y. – In spite of a strong defensive effort, the Houghton Highlanders dropped a tough non-conference match to the Fredonia State Blue Devils on Tuesday night in straight sets.
With the possible exception of Fredonia's first set, neither team posted impressive attacking numbers on the night.
While the Highlanders committed fewer service errors, the Blue Devils had fewer attack and receiving errors, and more kills, blocks, assists and digs.
