LANCASTER, PA – The #12 Franklin & Marshall Diplomats posted their fourth shutout in as many games this season, blanking the Houghton College men's soccer team on Friday night 3-0.
 
The Diplomats improved to 4-0 on the year, while the Highlanders evened their record at 2-2.
 
In a well-matched first half, the Diplomats posted the decisive goal only 10 minutes into play.  Freshman Ugo Okolie beat his defender down the left side then cut in along the endline before slotting the ball into the net.
 
The Highlanders matched the Diplomats stride-for-stride in the first half with each team posting seven shots and one corner, but Okolie's goal remained the lone tally and the score stood 1-0 at the half.
 
In the second half F&M would prove why they have not allowed a goal all season, stymying the Houghton attack, limiting them to only one shot. 
 
The Diplomats offense added a second goal in the 74^th minute and finished off the scoring in the 88^th with the third goal of the night. 
 
Jacob Dunnett (Quispamsis, New Brunswick, Kennebecasis) posted five saves in net for the Highlanders and Andrew Bussey (Leicester, England, Rosslyn Academy) led the team with four shots.
 
Houghton will take on #14 Messiah College tomorrow night at 7:00 PM in Grantham, PA.
