The Highlanders baseball team won 11-9 against the Pitt-Bradford Panthers at Houghton College.
The Panthers opened up the scoring in the first scoring two runs in the top half of the first.
The Highlanders fired back in the bottom half of the inning.
Patrick Parsons' (Wellsboro, PA, Wellsboro) single drove in
Michael Knapp (Brockport, NY, Brockport). Then
Trenton Unverdorben (Portville, NY, Portville) singled to drive in
Michael Kerr (Brentwood, TN, Hamburg ) leaving runners on first and third. The next pitch Unverdorben stole second, which allowed Parsons to score from third on the throw and give the Highlanders the 3-2 lead. Â Â Â
In the top of the third Pitt-Bradford knotted the game at three on Johnston's RBI single.
The Highlanders came right back and regained the lead in the bottom half of the third when Unverdorben roped a single up the middle that scored Kerr.
The Panthers scored four runs in the fourth and fifth giving them a 7-4 lead heading to the sixth inning.
In the bottom half of the sixth the Highlanders scored five runs on seven walks given up by the Panthers pitchers giving the Highlanders a 9-7 lead.
The Highlanders added some insurance in the bottom of the eighth inning scoring on Knapp's RBI double. Knapp would score from third later in the inning when Parsons dribbled a groundball in between the pitcher and first baseman giving Knapp enough time to slide in safely from third.

Chad Muise (Brantford, ON, Canada, North Park Collegiate) do the rest. Muise earned his second save of the year only allowing two hits and one run in two innings of work.
Joel Clabaugh (Landisburg, PA, Homeschool) earned his first win of the year.Â
Offensively the Highlanders were led by Knapp and Unverdorben. Knapp ended the day three for four with three RBI's and Unverdorben went three for four with two RBI's.
The Baseball team is scheduled to play a doubleheader tomorrow at 2 p.m. against Medaille College at the Kerr-Pegula Athletic Complex.Â
