HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Houghton volleyball saw its seven-match win streak come to an end in a 3-1 loss to Fredonia at home Tuesday.
The Highlanders lost by scores of 22-25, 25-23, 21-25, 13-25.
"We struggled to find our rhythm tonight," said Coach Nancy Cole. "We had our moments but could not play consistently. We had way too many errors. This is a good reminder that we need to keep working hard and remain disciplined in practice."
Hattie Burgher (Selkirk, NY, Loudonville Christian) finished with 12 kills and 13 digs, while
Erica Barney (Vestal, NY, Vestal) contributed 10 kills and 17 digs.
Anna Coryell (Phelps, NY, Midlakes) chipped in with 23 assists and
Kayla Bernard (Aubrey, TX, Cisco CC) added 23 digs.
Houghton (15-8) is back in action on October 22 when they travel to take on Hilbert.
