Austin Beauregard was named head coach of the Houghton track and field program in May 2024.
Beauregard came to Houghton from Vermont State University (formerly Castleton University) where he served as the sprints/hurdles coach since 2023. In this position, he developed and implemented year-long training plans for student-athletes and assisted with athlete recruitment.
He has also worked as a personal sprints coach, delivering one-on-one and group training to clients focused on speed development and technique improvement. While a student at Vermont State, Beauregard was a student intern for two years, assisting the head coach with all aspects of team management, workout planning and athlete development.
Beauregard holds USTFCCCA certification in sprints/hurdles/relays and in track & field technical coaching. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Vermont State.
