After attaching her name to the top of nearly every offensive category in the Houghton softball record book, Taylor (Sile '19) Trowbridge will transition from player to coach.
Trowbridge graduated Cum Laude from Houghton in May 2019 with a degree in Biology Pre-Physical Therapy while dual-minoring in athletic training and psychology.
On the field she holds Highlander career marks for runs, hits, RBI, doubles, home runs, walks, batting average, slugging percentage and on-base percentage. She was a three-time Empire 8 All-Conference selection (2017-19) and twice named to the NCCAA All-Midwest Region Team (2017, 2019).
At the culmination of her Houghton career Trowbridge received the Velma H.M. Hewson Excellence Award—the highest honor bestowed upon a Houghton female athlete based upon athletic achievements, academic excellence and a track record of Christian character and service to others.
Coach Trowbridge Currently gives private lessons for pitching and hitting and is a travel coach for 16U Renegades Fastpitch in North Carolina.
