CLERMONT, F.L.— Highlanders suffered two losses on Friday with a 9-3 loss to Eastern Nazarene and 4-1 loss to Augustana.
In game one, four different players posted hits for the Highlanders in rubber-match against Eastern Nazarene on Friday afternoon.
Houghton was able to notch two runs on Eastern Nazarene errors; however Eastern Nazarene maintained their 3-2 lead heading into the top of the second.
While Eastern Nazarene found success scoring in the next three innings, Houghton struggled to find their offense. The Highlanders remained scoreless until the bottom of the fifth when a ground-out by
Mariah Rogers drove in
Taylor Sile to collect run three for Houghton.
In game two, Houghton lost an early lead in Friday night's downfall against Augustana.
Houghton was able to get on the board in the top of the first but unable to hold on to their lead. Augustana pulled away for good in the second inning on a couple of Houghton errors.
