GETTYSBURG, P.A.—The Highlander Men and Women competed at historic Gettysburg on a brisk autumn morning. In the 8k, the men finished 13^th out of 33 represented teams while the women, running a 6k, finished 15^th out of 36 teams. Conditions on the course were a little muddy.

The men were led by senior Matthew Gostomski, junior Tyler Deuschle and junior captain John Vernick. Matthew finished 47^th with a time of 27:31 and Tyler finished 48^th with a time of 27:33. John had a great race, finishing with a 28:39, a time that is just 2 seconds slower than his personal best.

The women were led by junior captain Shelby Langlois and junior Emily Blosdale. Shelby finished 46^th with a time of 24:39 while Emily finished 85^th with a time of 25:26.

The Highlanders will have two weeks off to prepare for Empire 8 championships on October 27^th at Alfred University.
