Andrea compiled one of the most impressive soccer resumes of anyone who ever played here. She was recognized all 4 years as a 1st Team All-Conference Player and led her team to 4 Conference Championships. Her teams were ranked nationally in the NAIA Top 25 every year she played and were in the Top 10 twice.
Andrea was named 2nd Team All-Region her freshmen year, 1st Team All-Region the next 3 years and was the Regional Player of the Year in 1999. She was an NAIA NSCAA All-American 3 times and led her team to 2 National Tournament appearances.
Andrea was more than a great soccer player. She was an exceptional student who earned Academic All-American status twice. She was a leader, served as Team Captain and was honored her senior year as Houghton’s Outstanding Female Athlete.
After college, Andrea served as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Roberts Wesleyan College and now serves as a faculty member in the Recreation Department here at Houghton. She is a wonderful example of the excellence – spiritual, academic and athletic – that we hope for here at Houghton. More importantly, she excels as the wife to Jeff, mom to Jack, Jarod and Addison and friend to so many of us whose lives she has impacted.
